Asheville Elopement

Posed bride and groom photo for their Asheville elopement.

If we only ever shot elopements for the rest of our lives, it would make us two of the world’s luckiest people! And if they were all an Asheville Elopement?!? I don’t think there is a word for that kind of bliss! [insert overly dramatic swoon]

In all seriousness, though, elopements are so special to us because we chose to elope ourselves! It wasn’t an Asheville Elopement, but if you were to head North a couple of hours to Sugar Grove, North Carolina, you’d find a very similar landscape! Haha.

There is a huge misconception with elopements — that they are planned on a whim. And while that is certainly the case for some, it couldn’t be further from the truth for others! Elopements can be just as thoroughly planned as any other wedding day, but they usually come with a lot less stress and, honestly, a ton more customization. With fewer guests, you can seriously do whatever you want on your day! You can be as adventurous as your heart desires; you can keep it super simple, or you could even turn it into a whole weekend retreat! The possibilities are endless!

You might be wondering why we decided to put all of this persuasive information with this particular Asheville Elopement… Well, it’s because Natalie and Anthony reminded us SO much of us! Seriously, from the first time we met them, it felt like we were starring in a mirror. Natalie and I wore almost the exact same glasses and a very similar shirt, and well, Nick and Anthony are both ridiculously tall! I’m probably exaggerating, and we certainly aren’t twins, but the way they explained their wants and wishes for their Elopement, it just hit home.

Natalie and Anthony are two of the sweetest souls (promise we aren’t saying that because we keep saying they’re so much like us, haha). They are so genuine, and when they were taking the time to plan their Elopement, they really put their souls into it. Anthony’s family owns a little slice of heaven just outside Asheville, and they decided it would be the ideal spot to celebrate their love. We were even lucky enough to do their engagement photos there! Anthony’s parents’ house was a beautiful backdrop for them to get ready, and a little red barn would be the perfect backdrop for their vows and reception. I don’t remember how many acres they have, but the rest of the land?? Let’s just say it was the BEST spot for their portraits.

We had the absolute best time with Natalie, Anthony, and their closest friends and family. Being in such an intimate setting, we get to be so immersed in the day, and by the time we’re heading out, it feels like we’ve known everyone for so long.

Anyways, enough from us about this gorgeous Asheville Elopement. We’ll let the pictures say the rest!
