Hidden River Events is one of our favorite wedding venues in the Asheville area. Lying just 15 minutes outside of Downtown Asheville, Hidden River is the perfect venue for a full weekend adventure.
Hidden River is an all-inclusive wedding venue that provides on-site housing, florals, DJ, and catering so that you can plan the absolute perfect, intimate wedding. Surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, this 20+ acre farm is truly a hidden gem that allows you to be fully immersed in your wedding day experience and escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
As you drive down into the valley that is Hidden River Events, you will immediately notice the different landscapes the property offers. With seven different options on a single property, the venue literally has an option for everyone! From a gorgeous flower garden to an old Sycamore tree with so much character, we’re sharing a little about each one!
Every year they sow thousands of cut flower seeds that grow to be almost shoulder height and peak in early July. The garden accommodates up to 400 guests but even if you choose to elope, the center of the garden provides the sweetest intimate space for vows or portraits.
If you imagine getting married in a wide-open field with mountains as your backdrop and a gorgeous sky above you, the Marrying Field is the perfect spot for you. With gorgeous buttercup blooms in the spring and golden mountains in the fall, this a wonderful year-round option with space for up to 350 guests.
Surrounded by an old bell tower, a perennial garden, two ponds, and a beautiful green field, the Old Sycamore Tree offers not just a beautiful backdrop unmatched by any other location, but provides your wedding ceremony with charming symbolism to never stop growing your love. 125 guests can be shaded by the tree alone but for guest lists up to 225, additional shade is available with lawn canopies.
If you’re looking for a tranquil, tucked away ceremony site, the Swannanoa River is it. Whether you choose the natural music of the river, have the DJ provide recorded music, or experience a live musical accompaniment via the wired electricity at the site, the riverside will leave you and up to 250 guests, feeling enveloped in the beauty of nature.
Much like the Annual Cut Flower Garden, the Perennial Garden offers luscious blooms that explode during June, July, and August. This gorgeous backdrop accommodates up to 350 guests, who can be shaded by lawn canopies when necessary.
For intimate weddings with 42 guests or less, the deck of one of the houses overlooking the entire Swannanoa Valley offers a beautiful backdrop while keeping everything close by. This is also a great option for winter weddings.
The 6,800 sqft year-round tent with cathedral window sidewalls is a unique, elegant space for your reception. It also acts as your seventh ceremony site choice or a Plan B if the weather decides to present you with a little rain on your wedding day. The interior is beautifully lit with market lights, which create the perfect ambiance for an intimate setting, even if you max out the space with 225 guests.
When you choose an all-inclusive wedding venue, you eliminate so many stresses that come with wedding planning. You no longer have to worry about coordinating with a separate caterer, florist, DJ, or where to stay on your wedding night. One of the best features of these arrangements is that you automatically have an after-party house available should you and your VIPs decide to keep the celebration going after the 11:00 pm.
When you book a Saturday wedding package with Hidden River Events, housing is automatically included in your contract. This provides a wonderful spot for half of the wedding party to get ready in while the other half of the wedding party has access to the dedicated bridal suite. Flooded with mirrors and natural light, the bridal suite offers a peaceful spot that is sure to make your getting ready experience unforgettable.
